Accompanist

David Robinson

David is pleased to be playing for Mevagissey Ladies Choir, finding the choice of music and the piano arrangements very interesting.

David started his musical education at the age of six.  He was taught by his grandfather, who lived across the street from him in Yorkshire, and introduced him to classical music, developing his interest at school and in further education.

Since then he has also been keen on lighter music and has found a niche in playing for amateurs in pantomimes, variety shows, concerts etc. and has also performed on stage.

Since moving to Cornwall he has been impressed with the rich musical life here.  David has been associated with several choirs (male, female and mixed) as a singing member in some cases and has played for competitions in music festivals.

He has also more recently begun learning the organ and plays regularly at a local chapel.
