The Choir has been established since November 1985
When the Choir was formed there were just 16 members, mainly wives of some of the Male Choir singers.

The numbers have fluctuated over the years, with younger members taking time out for families, whilst others retired through ill health.  Covid of course saw big changes.  At present we have just over 20 members and always welcome newcomers to join our happy and freindly ladies.  If you share our love of song and like to put a smile on people’s face then do join us.

Our members cover a wide age range and come from all walks of life, some from fishing and farming families, others are career ladies and a number are retired. Many of our members live in Mevagissey and Gorran Haven but others come from the St Austell area and outlying villages. We are fortunate to have some of our founder members still with us.

Our new Musical Director, Helen Hereward, is highly qualified in the music field.  Well we say new, Helen has been leading us since 2022.

Our pianist is David Robinson an excellent musician who lives in Par.  David joined us in 2015.

We have performed in many parts of Cornwall and at various places around England and Wales. We all take great pleasure from music and enjoy entertaining with our singing.
